FREUDENBERG UNVEILS A WIDE VARIETY OF STICK GOODS AT MARKET.
The company markets the Vileda cleaning brand and last year also bought the O-Cedar brand.
The Vileda Wood-Matic Mop is a sponge mop designed specifically for wood and laminate floors. The company targeted the wood flooring segment because it is the second most common floor type in North America and the fastest growing. The Wood-Matic features Superdry sponge technology that leaves up to 50 percent less water on the floor after mopping, which allows the surface to dry up to three times faster.
The mop has a stain-eraser pad for deep cleaning and an extra-wide head for large surface cleaning. The mop also comes packaged with Vileda dry dusting cloths, which fit on the sponge, to dust the floor before mopping. It retails for $12.99.
Vileda also is launching a line of cleaning brushes featuring PowerFibres, which have Micro Pearls on the bristles to grab and remove dirt. The Micro Pearls are part of a patented microstructure technology that incorporates particles into the brush bristles. The brushes clean deeply without scratching surfaces. The toilet bowl brushes have anti-microbial properties that kill bacteria for years. The line includes a variety of other brushes, including a Dish-N-Sink Brush, a Synthetic Duster, a Flexi Duster, a Flexi Brush, a Glass Brush, a Glass-N-Dish Brush, a Pots-N-Pans Brush and a Scrub Brush. The brushes carry retail prices starting around $2.
The Easy Squeeze mop features a double-hinge system for even wringing and includes an integrated wringer that allows users to wring it without bending over. The mop has a Collectex sponge head that picks up 50 percent more dirt and has 150 percent more mopping surface. It also has a non-scratch scrubber edge for stain removal and retails for $6.99.
In the O-Cedar line, there is a new generation of the Power Corner broom, one of the top-selling brooms in the country. The new Power Corner Plush with Scuff Eraser has a patented scuff remover built into the tip of the broom. The scuff remover is similar to a tennis ball's material and won't scratch surfaces. It retails for $9.99.
Vileda is showcasing other items that it has launched over the past year, including the UltraMax Mop, which includes a mop frame with a microfiber cleaning pad, a three-piece handle and a bucket with an integrated wringing system. It has a PowerZone cleaning area in the center of the frame that provides extra cleaning power. The mop head rotates 360 degrees to get under cabinets and furniture. The mop retails for $19.99.
Tanita also has a new line of cleaning gloves, including Fresh Comfort gloves that reduce sweat with a soft foam lining. Sensitive Plus gloves are unlined for extra control and have double-coated fingertips for extra protection. They come in three different colors. Soft & Care Disposable gloves are disposable gloves that are enhanced with chamomile. The gloves retail from $1.59 to $2.09 per pair, and $2.19 for a box of 10 disposables.
