SINGLETONS

There's something slightly depressing about being single on Valentine's Day.

You might be having no luck finding your perfect partner, or maybe you're still recovering from the end of an affair.

Even if you're happily single, it's easy to feel excluded from the festivities.

It's hard to ignore the event. So don't. Instead, think of it as a time to show a bit of love for yourself.

Treat yourself to something special or spend some time doing the things you really enjoy.

But if you want to wallow and watch slushy movies, make sure they offer a little hope.

Flicks like Bridget Jones's Diary or Strictly Ballroom are both great examples of films where the 'underdog' gets their perfect partner.

Although Valentine's Day is primarily about romance, it's also a celebration of love in general.

So why not celebrate your friends and family?

Doing something fun together can help you forget about the lack of a boyfriend or girlfriend and appreciate what you've got.
