FREEMAN COSMETIC CORP. TO BLANKET CALIFORNIA WITH MASSIVE 'NATURAL BEAUTY' OUTDOOR ADS

 BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of successful billboard campaigns in Florida and Texas, Freeman Cosmetic Corp. will launch a major outdoor ad campaign in Southern and Northern California beginning Dec. 15 and running through Jan. 31.
 The aggressive campaign -- which tags 11 chain drug store, supermarket and mass merchandise retailers and supports the company's concurrent Tournament of Roses promotion -- includes 450 30-sheet billboards and eight painted billboards. In addition, a mobile billboard will circulate through the city of Pasadena on Dec. 31 to stir excitement and highlight Freeman's sponsorship of the Tournament of Roses parade telecast on ABC.
 The colorful billboards feature top-selling items from Freeman's Papaya and Sea Mist hair care lines and Beautiful Skin line and read: "Natural beauty from FREEMAN at (name of retailer)." They will be positioned to reach 90 percent of all adults 18-plus years and to be seen 20 times per month by the average viewer. The outdoor ad buys were made through Communications Development Corp.
 "This is the second year we've used a major outdoor campaign to support our Tournament of Roses promotion, and the response from retailers has been terrific," said Larry Freeman, chief executive officer of Freeman Cosmetic Corp. "This annual promotion is extremely successful. Last year sales jumped 20 percent as a direct result, and this year we anticipate even bigger sales due to heavier advertising and the success of the brands involved."
