FREE ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE ADDS UP FOR FLOOD VICTIMS

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- microPOWER Connecting Point, a Springfield software developer and computer dealer, announced that they will donate accounting software packages to any business that makes a donation to the '93 Flood Relief Fund.
The software packages, with a retail value of $2,000, consist of three individual programs: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
"We want to enable as many other businesses as possible to participate," said Robert W. Fox, owner of microPOWER. "We chose these particular accounting packages from our portfolio because they are easy to use for almost any size business."
The donations are being collected by the Springfield Illinois Rotary South Club, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to flood victims through the American Red Cross and Salvation Army. There is no minimum donation required: businesses are requested to contribute according to their ability. However, if possible, the Rotary Club suggests a $200 donation per program, or $500 for all three. microPOWER is also including a complementary telephone support contract with each donated software system.
This offer is good through Dec. 31, 1993. An information package has been prepared which outlines details of the offer and describes the software programs. Businesses interested in making a donation to the '93 Flood Relief Fund and receiving the accounting software should send a fax directly to microPOWER at 217-544-5676.
