 AND TIME MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE FOR MACINTOSH
 SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Franklin Quest Co. (NYSE: FNQ) announced today the introduction of two important new additions to its product line: a new pocket-size Franklin Day Planner(TM) and its Ascend(R) time management software for Macintosh(R) computers and Microsoft(R) Windows(TM).
 The products are slated for introduction in Franklin's retail stores nationwide in September and will be featured in the Franklin Quest fall catalog in early October.
 The pocket-size Franklin Day Planner will feature Franklin's two- page-per-day format along with all of the elements of its current time management products, including a variety of binder types and ring sizes for convenient use in suit pockets, purses or briefcases.
 "The Pocket Day Planner has been designed in response to customer demand and to attract buyers of competing products who carry pocket or purse-sized calendars by offering them the full features of the popular Franklin Time Management System in a handsome and convenient pocket size," said Arlen B. Crouch, president of Franklin Quest.
 Franklin's introduction of Ascend time management software for Macintosh computers and Ascend 4.0 for Microsoft Windows offers all the features of the Franklin Time Management System and the Franklin Day Planner on computer. "Competitively, this puts Franklin at the forefront in the development and production of computer software for personal information and time management," said Crouch.
 Franklin also announced a new line of fashion leather and tapestry Day Planner binders for its current-size Day Planners.
 Franklin Quest Co. is an industry leader in time management training and products designed to improve individual productivity. The company is headquartered in Salt Lake City with 19 stores in 11 states.
