FRANKLIN BANK INTRODUCES CORPORATE CONCIERGE SERVICES

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Franklin Bank, N.A. (NASDAQ-NMS: FSVB) announced the availability of concierge services for its business customers. Franklin believes it is the first bank in the country to offer this service to its customers. The service is a unique reward for professionals and business owners who have business checking accounts at Franklin.
Judi A. Ross coordinates the bank's corporate concierge services and is a member of the Michigan Concierge Association. Ross' past experience includes positions with two airlines, a travel agency and personnel agency.
"In today's fast paced business environment it is difficult for business owners to spend time arranging for tickets and restaurant reservations for themselves or clients. Further it is difficult for the business owner to select desirable seating for events, another feature to the service," said President Read P. Dunn. "Providing this service for our business customers allows us to make life more convenient for them," Dunn continued.
Currently, business customers may call for tickets to plays, concerts and sporting events coming to local theaters and stadiums. Such establishments include The Fox Theatre, Joe Louis Arena, Tiger Stadium, the Pontiac Silverdome, Pine Knob and The Palace. Future services to be added include restaurant and limousine reservations, florist services, miscellaneous office services and corporate gift buying assistance.
Initial response to the concierge services has been very favorable. Franklin expects the concierge services to gain popularity as more customers become accustomed to the idea and more services become available.
In addition to its newly opened exclusive Business Center, the bank has full-service regional branches in Southfield, Birmingham and Grosse Pointe Woods. These branches will continue serving both individual and business customers at their convenience. At March 31, 1993, Franklin Bank had $381 million in assets. Headquartered in Southfield, Franklin is the only independently owned bank headquartered in Oakland County with assets between $200 million and $10 billion.
