FRANCIS L. DALE ELECTED DIRECTOR OF ICN BIOMEDICALS INC. COSTA MESA, Calif., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- ICN Biomedicals Inc.
(AMEX: BIM) announced today that Francis L. Dale was elected to the board of directors of the biotechnology research products and medical diagnostics company.
Dale is a senior associate of Moxham Carver Inc., an affiliate of Ketchum Inc. In addition, the board of directors elected Milan Panic to the additional position of president of the company. Panic is chairman and chief executive officer of ICN Biomedicals and chairman, president and chief executive officer of its parent company, ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc. John E. Giordani was elected senior vice president of ICN Biomedicals and chief financial officer. Giordani retains his position as senior vice president and chief financial officer of the parent company, ICN Pharmaceuticals. Dale, who had been a member of the board of Viratek Inc., another ICN Pharmaceutical subsidiary, is a former president and publisher of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner and vice president of the Hearst Corp. He served as United States Ambassador to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, and as special assistant to the assistant secretary of state from 1974 to 1977. Prior to 1974, he served as president and publisher of the Cincinnati Enquirer and practiced law with the firm of Frost & Jacobs, Cincinnati.
