FRANCES TRAYNOR: Thou shalt not miss football.

Byline: FRANCES TRAYNOR

THERE is some concern that only 500 Scots will be in Rome today to watch Archbishop Keith O'Brien become a Cardinal.

When Thomas Winning got his red hat from Pope John Paul II nine years ago, there were 1500 Scottishpilgrims. Some say the drop reflects doubts that O'Brien might not be worthy and others claim there was no time to get to St Peter's Square.

They're all wrong. The turn-out is low because the Blessed Martin's side play Anderlecht in the Champions League tonight. Some things can't be missed.
