FRAGRANCE FESTIVAL AT PACIFIC SCIENCE CENTER THIS WEEKEND

 SEATTLE, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was released today by Pacific Science Center:
 WHAT: Sniff fragrant flowers, herbs and perfumes, and pucker up for a smell/taste test at the Fragrance Festival.
 WHERE: Pacific Science Center, 200 Second Ave. N., Seattle
 WHEN: Saturday, June 26, and Sunday, June 27. Open 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
 HOW: Admission to Fragrance Festival, exhibits and an IMAX(R) matinee is $6.50/adults, $5.50/6 to 13 year olds and seniors 65 and over, and $4.50/2 to 5 year olds. For more information, call Pacific Science Center at 206-443-2001. For group discounts, call 206-443-3611. TDD: 206-443-2887.

 -- Create your own personalized fragrance with perfumed oils and make a bracelet of spices to take home and enjoy.
 -- Learn the fragrant differences between rose varieties. Touch and smell herbs and exotic plants in the herb garden room. Learn about plant fragrance and the culinary and medicinal qualities of plants.
 -- Meet a skunk and learn how animals use their sense of smell to survive.
 -- Discover how your sense of smell is connected with other senses:
 - Taste spice drops with your nose plugged and unplugged and
 compare the two sensations.
 - Guess a variety of unusual smells without seeing the objects
 they come from.
 -- When you "taste" your food, your taste buds can only detect four things: sweet, sour, salty and bitter. Your nose fills in the rest.
 -- See the exhibit "Through the Garden Gate: The World of Beatrix Potter" on its last weekend. Storytelling at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m.
