FPL LAUNCHES LIGHTING PROGRAM TO BENEFIT BUSINESSES OF ALL SIZES

MIAMI, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Power & Light Company has launched a new commercial/industrial lighting program, for businesses of all sizes, which cuts costs and energy usage while maintaining or improving light output or quality.
"Interior lighting accounts for approximately 28 percent of a business' energy consumption," said Richard Adams, FPL program manager. "Our new program offers a variety of options which can result in significant savings."
The program, which is designed to reduce FPL's peak demand from 3 to 6 p.m. summer weekdays, offers incentives from $20 to $250 per kilowatt saved for initial investments in energy-efficient technologies. According to Adams, in a recent case study, a customer who qualified in the "high performance" category was eligible for a $15,000 rebate.
For more information about FPL's new lighting program and saving energy through efficient lighting, customers should call 800-FPL-5566.
