FOURTH ANNUAL KLEENEX SAYS BLESS YOU AWARDS TO BE HELD IN WASHINGTON
 WHO: Ten of our country's most exceptional individuals will be honored for having saved lives, initiated programs to benefit a needy segment of the community or overcome personal problems to make a significant difference in the lives of others.
 WHAT: The fourth annual Kleenex (R) says Bless You Awards
 Ceremony and Luncheon.
 WHEN: Awards Ceremony, 11 a.m.- Noon, Thursday, March 19.
 Buffet Luncheon, immediately following ceremony.
 WHERE: The Willard Inter-Continental
 Crystal Room
 1401 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Washington.
 WHY: To recognize and encourage humanitarianism in our
 country.
 The Kleenex says Bless You Awards Ceremony honorees represent some of our nation's heroes and leaders in the growing field of community service. They have provided the fuel to solve our nation's problems and to initiate positive programs dealing with homelessness; gangs; AIDS, cancer and other diseases; the elderly; illiteracy and much more.
 Honorees include actor Steve Guttenberg, who each Sunday personally makes sandwiches and distributes them to the homeless in a park near his home. Others include a 10-year-old boy who saved his best friend from an attempted kidnapping; a 71-year-old man who drives over 500 miles each week to collect discarded food items and distribute them to the needy; and a former welfare recipient who founded a program to provide transitional housing for homeless families.

 The top ten Kleenex says Bless You Awards recipients are:
 -- Steve Guttenberg of Los Angeles -- actor ("Three Men and A Baby" and "Cocoon") who personally prepares and distributes lunches to hungry people in Los Angeles.
 -- Ruben "Pollo" Barragan of Del Rio, Texas -- founder of Project NINO (Navidad para Infantes y Ninos Organization), which provides needy children with presents and an annual Christmas celebration. He also collects and distributes shoes and school supplies.
 -- Sandra Lake-Bullock of Davenport, Iowa -- former welfare recipient who founded Neighborhood Place, Inc., a program which provides housing, job training, education, substance abuse prevention, mental health and social services to those in need.
 -- Doyle Howard of Tulsa, Okla. -- 71-year-old who collects discarded food items from grocery stores and distributes them to the needy six days a week.
 -- Wendy Kopp of New York -- 24-year-old who founded Teach for America, a nationwide corps of recent college graduates who teach in the nation's neediest school districts.
 -- Brenda Mitchell and Robert Lemont of Evansville, Ind. -- founders of Brenda's Second Chance Home, a program which renovates houses and then operates and maintains them as homes for the homeless, free of charge.
 -- Morlan O'Bryan of Dorchester, Mass. -- rescuer of two children who were running in the line of fire during a gang shooting. O'Bryan used himself as a human shield, was hit by a bullet in the spinal cord and is now confined to a wheelchair.
 -- Jenny Richardson of Portland, Ore. -- 14-year-old who served as the youngest "grief facilitator" at the Dougy Center in Portland -- a support organization for bereaved children. She also started a bereavement group for students at her middle school.
 -- Justin Roell of Apopka, Fla. -- 10-year-old who saved his best friend from an attempted kidnapping by refusing to let go of his friend's hand when he was being pulled into a car.
 -- Dr. Ram Yogev of Evanston, Ill. -- creator of The Children's Place, which provides a home for abandoned HIV-positive babies and children.
