FOURTEENTH ANNUAL CREATIVE PEOPLE ART SHOW OPENS AT WOODMERE ART MUSEUM
 Who: Creative People Art Show
 What: Juried art exhibition featuring 170 works in seven artistic
 media: graphics, jewelry, photography, oils/acrylics,
 sculpture, ceramics and watercolor.
 When: Opening reception, Thursday, Oct. 1, 6-10 p.m.
 Awards presentation, 6:30 p.m. -- Tom Durovsik, president,
 The Franklin Mint, awarding plaques and $5,000 cash to
 top artists.
 Show open to the public Oct. 2-Nov. 14. Admission free.
 Where: Woodmere Art Museum, 9201 Germantown Ave., Chestnut Hill,
 Pa.
 Why: To recognize area, U.S. and international artistic talent;
 alert the public to free event with broad interest.
 Arts and entertainment writers are encouraged to attend
 reception, review exhibition.
 Jurors include: Melissa Feldman, associate curator,
 Institute of Contemporary Art; Christopher Riopelle,
 associate curator for European Paintings and Sculpture,
 Philadelphia Art Museum; Gerard McCarthy, curator, The
 Franklin Mint Collection; and Michael Schantz, director,
 Woodmere Art Museum.

 Catering -- Frog Commissary; Entertainment -- Heath Allen Quartet.
 Exhibition and reception sponsored by The Franklin Mint Foundation for the Arts.
