THE Ice Warrior trek will try to reach all four North Poles.

The Arctic Pole or Pole of Relative Inaccessibility, as it is sometimes called, is the farthest point from land on the Arctic Ocean.

Described as the most inaccessible place on earth, it is about 400 miles from the Geographic North Pole.

The Geographic North Pole (90 degrees North) is described as a fixed location on the Arctic Ocean which is the northern axis of the earth's rotation.

The Magnetic North Pole is where lines of magnetic force exit. The magnetic field is vertical and the north seeking end of a compass needle points here. The Geomagnetic North Pole is the north end of the axis of the geomagnetic field which surrounds the earth and extends into space as the magnetosphere.
