FOUR FORD SUPPLIERS RECEIVE TQE AWARDS

 DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Four supplier companies today received Ford Motor Company's (NYSE: F) Total Quality Excellence (TQE ) Award -- Ford's highest recognition for supplier excellence.
 McGard, Inc. of Orchard Park, N.Y.; Nelson Metal Products of Grandville, Mich.; Paxon Polymer Company, Baton Rouge, La., and The Timken Company, Canton, Ohio, join only 16 other Ford suppliers that have achieved the coveted designation since its inception in 1987.
 "Ford presents the TQE Award to suppliers that have demonstrated excellence and continuous improvement in product quality, engineering expertise, delivery and customer relations," said Norman F. Ehlers, Ford's vice president of Purchasing and Supply. "These four companies have exhibited the commitment necessary to achieve superiority in every facet of their operations."
 The TQE Award is considered to be the benchmark for Ford preferred supplier performance. Suppliers who demonstrate the ability to meet these performance standards receive preferred consideration in ongoing partnership and sourcing decisions.
