FOUNTAIN SQUARE MUTUAL FUNDS ASSETS MANAGED BY FIFTH THIRD BANK REACH $1 BILLION

 CINCINNATI, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Fifth Third Bank is pleased to announce that the assets of the Fountain Square Funds(TM), a family of nine mutual funds managed by the investment professionals at Fifth Third Bank, have reached $1 billion.

 Fifth Third Bank's mutual fund focus began in 1988 with the introduction of the Fountain Square U.S. Treasury Obligations Fund. Over the last five years, the Fountain Square Funds have grown to include two additional money markets and six stock and bond funds. The funds are marketed through the Trust and Investments Division of Fifth Third Bank and Fifth Third Securities, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fifth Third Bank. Fifth Third Securities is an NASD-registered broker-dealer and member of SIPC.
