FORTIS, INC. AND OKRA MARKETING CORPORATION ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC ALLIANCE

 TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective July 23, 1993, Fortis, Inc. and OKRA Marketing Corporation entered into a strategic alliance.
 Fortis, Inc., one of the largest financial organizations in the world with $50 billion in assets, is jointly headquartered in Utrecht, The Netherlands, and Brussels, Belgium. Fortis companies are actively providing insurance and other financial services to customers in Europe, the United States and Australia.
 OKRA Marketing Corporation is a leader in the field of advanced management decision systems which give its clients the ability to target customers with a precision unmatched in the database marketing industry. OKRA's products are designed for a variety of industries including banking, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, retail/catalogue and business-to-business marketers. OKRA is based in Tampa, Fla.
 Many large financial service companies are already customers of both OKRA and Fortis including Banc One, Barnett, Citicorp, CoreStates, Dean Witter Reynolds, NationsBank, Signet and Wachovia.
 The alliance will allow Fortis to enhance its service to the financial services community. By applying OKRA's advanced database marketing technology, Fortis will be able to improve its responsiveness to customer needs and reduce the costs of many of its products and services.
 For OKRA, the alliance will provide the financial backing to further develop its products and services. Further, Fortis' worldwide position in the insurance and financial services industries will allow OKRA to expand its client base into these categories.
 Responsibility for managing the new strategic alliance will be shared by Jim Jones, managing director of Fortis Database Marketing and John Kelly, president of OKRA. In a joint statement Jones and Kelly stated, "To remain competitive, marketers need a level of sophistication in the manipulation and interpretation of data far beyond that contemplated just a few years ago.
