FORT WORTH FEATURED IN NEW NATIONSBANK AD CAMPAIGN

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- A bucking bronco charges out of its chute at the Cowtown Coliseum and onto home television screens in a new commercial NationsBank will launch Sept. 13. Featuring local banking associates and customers, the commercial is part of a major advertising campaign to raise customer awareness and heighten the visibility of the NationsBank name.
"We want NationsBank to be the household word in banking," said Marketing Executive Amy Brinkley. "We have the resources to make a positive difference in the lives of millions and to demonstrate how we care for the communities we serve."
The dominant theme is that NationsBank, by virtue of its presence, makes all the communities it serves financial centers. "The Financial Centers campaign has the flexibility to focus on small, mid-size and large communities," said Advertising/Promotion Director Grant O'Neal. The Fort Worth commercial highlights the Stock Yards, the Cowtown Coliseum and NationsBank customers Justin Industries and Bell Helicopter.
The campaign consists of four commercials, one each filmed in Sarasota, Fla., Annapolis, Md., and Abbeville, S.C., in addition to Fort Worth. The cities were chosen for their distinct character and ability to demonstrate the diversity of the bank's customers. All commercials feature a variety of actual banking associates and customers to tell the NationsBank story.
After the initial four commercials, additional communities will be added from across the bank's franchise. The spots will be seen during top-rated programming and sporting events. Outdoor billboards, showing a NationsBank sign and the name of the community, will support the television commercials. The campaign was created by the bank's advertising agency Temerlin McClain of Dallas. All commercials are narrated by actor James Coburn.
NationsBank Corporation (NYSE: NB) is the fifth-largest U.S. banking company with $124 billion in assets and full-service offices in nine states and the District of Columbia.
