 FORD RALLIES EMPLOYEES TO BECOME POLITICALLY ACTIVE
 WHEN: Monday, Aug. 10
 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
 Rain date: Aug. 11
 WHERE: Ford World Headquarters
 Arjay Miller Michigan Arboretum - located on the west
 lawn of World Headquarters. Michigan Avenue and
 Southfield Freeway.
 WHAT Ford expects approximately 1,000 employees to rally
 & WHO: around the slogan: GIP-O-GOOB (Get into Politics or Get
 out of Business) at the company's first Governmental
 Awareness Fair.
 This is the kickoff of an effort to educate employees
 about the impact of legislation and regulations on Ford's
 competitiveness. It is grassroots employee involvement
 at its best.
 Employees can register to vote and to receive background
 information on legislative issues. The Fair "midway"
 will feature technology and safety displays and 1993 Ford
 and Lincoln-Mercury products, highlighting improvements
 in auto emissions and fuel economy.
 Participants will enjoy lunch outdoors while being
 entertained by Edsel Ford High School's marching band and
 the Crestwood High School national champion pompon
 squad.
 VISUALS: The Fair "midway" will be held under several large tents,
 with technology displays, safety exhibits, Ford's
 electric vehicle -- the Ecostar, and many 1993 Ford
 products. There will be lots of color and games,
 including a hole-in-one golf contest.
