 FORD OPENS 625,000-SQUARE-FOOT ATLANTA PARTS DISTRIBUTION CENTER
 The facility is expected to handle $400 million worth
 of vehicle parts sales annually in the Southeast.
 The media are invited to join Ford:
 WHEN: Wednesday, Aug. 26
 Program time: 1-1:40 p.m.
 (Open house is 10 a.m.-3 p.m.)
 WHAT: Grand Opening event for 300: Officials from Georgia,
 Ford, the UAW, Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealerships,
 employees and news media.
 WHERE: Atlanta Parts Distribution Center, 100 Constitution
 Drive in McDonough, Ga.:
 From I-75 South of Atlanta, take Exit 69 (McDonough,
 Ga. 155)
 Turn right (heading west) onto Georgia 155
 Take first left -- onto Liberty Industrial Parkway,
 then first left onto Constitution Drive

 BACKGROUND: Construction is completed on this 625,000-square-foot
 facility on 68 rolling acres south of the city. It
 is expected to handle annual parts sales of over $400
 million to service customers of more than 900 Ford
 and Lincoln-Mercury dealers and 200 independent parts
 outlets throughout the Southeast. That's good news
 for the Atlanta area.
