FORD ASPIRE: LEAST EXPENSIVE CAR WITH AIR BAGS

DETROIT, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The price for Ford's new small car, the 1994 Ford Aspire (three-door), starts at $8,240 (MSRP), said Ross H. Roberts, Ford (NYSE: F) vice president and Ford Division general manager. "The Ford Aspire is expected to be the least expensive car available with standard driver- and passenger-side air bag supplemental restraint systems," he added.
Ford's newest small car is available in three-door and five-door models. The price for the five-door Aspire starts at $8,855 (MSRP).
In addition to standard dual air bags, the car will offer an optional anti-lock braking system. The car will also be covered by Ford's Roadside Assistance Program, which provides aid for emergency situations at no additional cost to the customer. This includes fuel delivery, battery service, tire-changing and towing services on a 24-hour basis.
The Ford Aspire features all-new styling and a roomy interior. It will be introduced during the first quarter of 1994.
