FOOTBALL: Rush for Posh job?

WALES legend Ian Rush is vying with former Liverpool team-mate Mark Wright and a mystery man for the vacant Peterborough hot-seat.

The Posh will make a formal announcement on Tuesday. Rush, who attended an interview two weeks ago, said: "I believe I have the ability to take Peterborough forward."

Rush is also being courted by the Barbados FA.

Peterborough executive director Bob Symns said: "Ian and Mark Aizlewood were very impressive during their interviews.

"We are looking at their and Mark Wright's applications very closely - we did have a late applicant who we're also considering, though."
