FOOTBALL: Thetis told to cool it.

FIREBRAND French defender Manuel Thetis has been told to cool it by Ipswich manager George Burley.

Centre back powerhouse Thetis, 27, is being targeting because of his reputation as a hothead and Burley said : "I'll be letting him know he must become more disciplined.

"Last season Manuel had a number of bookings as he took time to adapt to the English game.

"He is getting better from that point of view but there is no doubt opposition teams are aware of his record and try to wind him up.

"That's a situation he has to be able to handle."

Meanwhile, Ipswich have completed the pounds 800,00 signing of Blackburn left-back Gary Croft.
