FOOTBALL: Stop being so nice York; Rotherham 1 York 0.

YORK player-boss Neil Thompson laid into his nice guys after their latest slump.

Darren Garner's goal just before the hour handed City their fourth loss in six games and, after relegation on the final day of last season, York show no signs of ending the nosedive.

Tommo moaned: "We've come down from the Second Division and are finding life very hard because we are too nice.

"We need a hardness about us and need someone who is prepared to break necks to score."

Delighted Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore said: "We could easily have won by three or four."
