FOOTBALL: Souness: Show me the money.

BLACKBURN boss Graeme Souness has begged the club's money men to stump up the cash for a new midfielder in January. Souness has already been given the nod to seal a loan deal with USA striker Brian McBride once the transfer window re-opens. But the Rovers chief admits that the loss of David Thompson until next season due to knee surgery has left him desperate for midfield reinforcements. Souness said: "We can't pay transfer fees, but I would hope that there would be some money in the kitty for wages."
