FOOTBALL: No goals but fans come out winners; QoS 0 STIRLING ALB 0.

QoS 0 STIRLING ALB 0 FORGET the scoreline. This was no dreary, depressing goalless draw. Both teams hit the woodwork in a cracking game that delighted the managers.

Stirling boss Ray Stewart said: "We have drawn our two league games so far and could just as easily be sitting with full points from both.

"This match had plenty to offer and right to the end it was open to both teams."

Queens boss John Connolly said: "It was anyone's game but with a little luck we might have taken all three points."

The former Everton and St Johnstone winger pointed out: "Including the cup, we have now played three teams in our division and our displays have made me confident we have the players to cope with anything there."

Queens certainly were unlucky when Jon Sunderland chipped the ball over the keeper and the bar came to Stirling's rescue. Then Mark Weir cracked a drive against a post.

Stirling had their moments, too. Craig Feroz made a mazy run from midfield, warding off three challenges before chipping the keeper and seeing the ball clip the bar.
