FOOTBALL: Gemmill: We should have a go at the egos.
With Ruud van Nistelrooy at loggerheads with coach Dick Advocaat, the former Nottingham Forest midfielder, who scored one of thegreatest World Cupgoals of all time against Holland in 1978, insists a combination of Dutch arrogance and Scottish courage can win the day.
Gemmill said: ``Van Nistelrooy is the best striker in the world but he might not play.
``But, once again, it is the ego factor. If Scotland can beat Holland over the two legs, they will go down in folklore for years and years to come.
``The things we can hang our hat on are the performances against Germany and the Dutch being a little bit volatile at times.
``If Scotland can reproduce the form they showed over two legs against the Germans and the Dutch have an off-day, which they have at times, then it is by no means a foregone conclusion at all.''
