FOOTBALL: DANNY BUOYS UP WEST BROM; SHEFF WED 1 WBA 1.

Byline: RAY CLARKIN

SUNDERLAND striker Danny Dichio is so far out of manager Peter Reid's plans that he was sent on a month's loan to West Brom.

And Dichio yesterday earned his new teammates their first point of the season with a 27th-minute equaliser.

Neil Clement's corner kick was headed into the area by Larus Sigurdsson and Dichio pounced with a striker's instinct, heading the ball practically out of Kevin Pressman's hands into the roof of the net. Wednesday had taken the lead in the third minute with a Gerald Sibon free kick.
