FOOTBALL: COVENTRY, DISTRICT AND WARWICKSHIRE: Table-topping Ball go nap.

THE Coventry, District and Warwickshire League programme was slashed to just two matches but it was business as usual for the leading lights in Division One.

Pace-setters Old Ball crushed Oakwood Alvis 5-1, Andy Hayes (2), Adam Bench, Darren Judge and Dave O'Loughlan holding sway while Dion Richards logged the home consolation.

Birchfield Sports remain two points behind but with three matches in hand after overwhelming GNP Sports 8-2.

Claudian Tarano's hat-trick was backed up by Irfan Mohammed (2), James Tomlinson (2) and Colin Carr with Gurdip Bharj and Sarabjit Rhandawa on target for the visitors.
