March - Fifth Street Public Market, 296 E. Fifth Ave. 5:30 p.m. on. "Regional Wine Dinner" features foods and wines of Bordeaux and Southwestern France. The menu includes Roasted Red Plums with Bacon (with Jaillance Brut Ros Crmant de Bordeaux Cuve de l'Abbaye); Duck Liver Toasts with Salad Greens, Walnuts and Truffle Vinaigrette (with Chteau La Maroutine Bordeaux Blanc 2011 or Chteau Du Cros Bordeaux Ros 2012); Roasted Salmon with Chanterelle Mushrooms and Crme Fra"che or Rabbit Braised in Bordeaux Wine, served with Creamy Polenta (with Clos La Coutale Cahors 2011 or Chteau Blaignan Cru Bourgeois Medoc 2009); Artisanal Goat's Cheese (with Chteau Loupiac-Gaudiet Loupiac 2009); and Crpe with Preserved Peaches and Sauternes Cream.
