 FOOD LION OPENS OKLAHOMA STORES
 SALISBURY, N.C., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Food Lion, Inc.


(NASDAQ-NMS: FDLN), America's fastest growing supermarket chain, will open its first three stores in Oklahoma on May 13, 1992 at 7:00 a.m. (CST).
 These new store locations are: Moore at 201 North Eastern; Midwest City at 9900 S.E. 15th Street; and Yukon at 3500 Lake Shore Drive.
 Food Lion plans to open seven additional Oklahoma stores by year end.
 Food Lion currently operates more than 900 stores in 12 states. Oklahoma will be the thirteenth state. The company's 1991 sales were $6.4 billion.
