 FOOD AND CLOTHING DRIVE FOR L.A. VICTIMS EXTENDED ONE MORE DAY
 NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to an excellent community response, a special food and clothing drive sponsored by Sutro & Co. and The Salvation Army to benefit victims of the recent L.A. violence has been extended for another day. The benefit drive will now continue through Friday, May 15, beginning at 6 a.m. on Friday and ending at 4 p.m.
 The drive is being held at Sutro's Newport Beach office at 2 Civic Plaza, Suite 180 (at San Joaquin Hills Road and Santa Cruz). During the first two days of the benefit, approximately 70 bags have been received from donors who have come from as far away as Dana Point and Huntington Beach. Approximately 40 percent of the donations have been in the form of canned foods and disposable items, and 60 percent has been used clothing.
 Items requested for donation include canned food, clothing, blankets, diapers, and children's clothing. Monetary donations are also being accepted. Checks should be made payable to The Salvation Army, with a notation on the check that the donation is specifically for L.A. relief.
