FOG IS BLAMED FOR TEEN'S CRASH DEATH.

FOG is being blamed for a five-vehicle crash which killed a teenager.

Oisin Crotty, 19, from The Rower near Inistioge in South Kilkenny, was on his way to work when the collision happened at around 8.15am yesterday.

It's understood there was heavy fog on the old Waterford-Kilkenny road, a stretch of the N10 not far from the M9 and near the GAA club in Danesfort. Mr Crotty, an apprentice with ESB Networks, was travelling to Kilkenny city.

Gardai said his car was in a collision with a van going in the opposite direction. The male driver of the van was seriously injured and his condition was described as "serious but stable".

A son of Sean and Mairead Crotty, Oisin was a former juvenile GAA player.
