FNA Regional Bureau Kicks of Official Work in Buenos Aires.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Fars News Agency Managing-Director Seyed Nezamoddin Moussavi officially inaugurated FNA's regional bureau in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday.

Iran's Charge d'Affaires in Buenos Aires Ahmadreza Kheirmand, Iranian diplomats residing in Buenos Aires, political figures and representatives of the mass media attended the inaugural ceremony of the FNA bureau.

FNA Chief, Iranian charge d'affaires and renowned Latin American journalist Stella Calloni delivered speeches at the opening ceremony of FNA's regional bureau in Buenos Aires.

The ceremony was covered by reporters as well.

Moussavi and an accompanying team of FNA managers arrived in Argentina on Monday to inaugurate the Iranian news agency's regional bureau in Buenos Aires to cover developments and events in 18 Latin American states.

The FNA regional bureau in Latin America with its head office in Buenos Aires opened six months ago after receiving license for operation from the Argentinean government in June.

Iran has been seeking to broaden ties and cooperation with Latin American states, including Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Argentina and Cuba.

Iran's strong and rapidly growing ties with Latin America have raised eyebrows in the US and its western allies since Tehran and Latin nations have forged an alliance against the imperialist and colonialist powers and are striving hard to reinvigorate their relations with the other independent countries which pursue a line of policy independent from the US.
