FMC Lithium said on Thursday that it will increase prices of its range of lithium products, including lithium hydroxide, lithium chloride, specialty lithium salts and lithium battery metal with effect from 1 July 2011 or as contracts permit.

Depending on the product grade, the company stated it will increase its lithium carbonate prices by 20% and between 15% and 25% for its range of lithium products, including lithium hydroxide, lithium chloride, specialty lithium salts and lithium battery metal, respectively.

FMC Lithium serves the battery and energy, air treatment, construction, energy, fine chemicals, glass and ceramics markets and is part of FMC Corporation (NYSE:FMC).
