 FMC, PALL FORM ALLIANCE FOR NBC PROTECTIVE SYSTEMS
 SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- FMC Corp. and Pall Corp. (AMEX: PLL) announced today an alliance to seek business for the military application of systems which provide protection against nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) agents. FMC's Ground Systems Division will integrate, market and sell systems using Pall's advanced Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) units.
 Under the agreement, Pall will be the exclusive supplier of PSA units to FMC, and FMC will purchase all needed PSA units from Pall. FMC already holds a patent on a Regenerable Collective Protection System (RCPS), which uses the patented PSA unit.
 Pall has become a worldwide leader in developing patented air purification systems for difficult conditions. Advantages of the Pall PSA are:
 -- Removes both known and anticipated war gases.
 -- Removes viruses, bacteria and other large micro-organisms.
 -- Removes nuclear dust.
 -- Regenerable, uses highly reliable immobilized adsorbent beds.
 -- Provides logistics benefit; does not require frequent
 replacement.
 -- Uses in-bed sensors to monitor functioning in real time.
 -- Provides effective protection, proven through extensive testing.
