TUNIS (TAP) - Foreign Minister Rafik Abdessalem paid a visit, on Friday, to the Daedeok Innopolis, formerly known as Daedeok Science Town, the research and development district in Daejeon, South Korea.

Daejeon, which is the country's fifth city, hosts research and development centres, specialised educational institutions and innovating ventures.

During his visit, Mr. Abdessalem met with the Daedeok Innopolis Chairman and South-Korean Energy Research Institute (KIER) Chairman, according to a communique made public on Saturday by the Foreign Ministry.

The meetings turned on the state of bilateral co-operation in the renewable energies field and other innovating fields, the same source specified.

The Foreign Minister also met with Tunisian students following their studies in Korea's Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
