Fluke Corp., founded in 1948 by John M. Fluke Sr. in the basement of his Springdale, Connecticut home, is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Danaher Corp. Fluke launched his company with its first product, the model 101 VAW Meter, a unique and innovative power meter. The company made a profit the first year and has operated profitably ever since.

Fluke soon employed six people and decided to return to Seattle. Less than a decade after starting the company, he was able to absorb other small electronics companies. By 1962, John Fluke stood at the helm of one of the nation's fastest growing electronics companies. John Fluke Sr. died in 1984 but the company he started became one of the world's largest broad-line manufacturers and marketers of electronics test and measurement equipment.

Now a multi-national corporation, the Fluke Corp. is headquartered in Everett, WA, USA and has key manufacturing centers in the USA and The Netherlands. Sales and service subsidiary operations are located in Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia. The company has authorized distributor and manufacturer representative channels in over 100 countries. Fluke now employs approximately 2,400 people worldwide.
