FLOW INTERNATIONAL DIVISION AWARDED CONTRACT FOR EXTERIOR MAINTENANCE INSTALLATION ON SEATTLE'S KINGDOME

KENT, Wash., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Flow International Corp.'s (NASDAQ: FLOW) Spider Staging division today announced the signing of a contract to equip the Kingdome with a permanent exterior maintenance system. The contact with King County, Wash., is valued at $600,000.
King County purchased the maintenance system in anticipation of the re-coating of the Kingdome's roof. The stadium's exterior appearance is the subject of intense scrutiny from Seattle residents, visitors to the area and the local media. The roof suffers from discoloration and periodic leaking. The Spider installation will allow King County to clean and maintain the Kingdome's roof on a more frequent basis.
King County Executive Tim Hill said, "The maintenance system for the Kingdome will keep the new roof looking clean and shiny for years to come. The dirty appearance of the current roof has been a source of frustration for me, and the source of a lot of complaints. The new roof, and the maintenance system from Spider Staging Corp., will solve the discoloration problem and make the Kingdome a shining gateway to downtown Seattle."
"As a Seattle-based company, we are very pleased to be able to work on a local project of this magnitude," said Ronald W. Tarrant, president and chief executive officer of Flow International Corp. "As witnessed by this contract, the industrial cleaning, maintenance and infrastructure markets represent excellent growth markets for Flow."
Spider Staging Corp., a division of Flow International Corp., is the leading manufacturer and distributor of powered scaffolding equipment in North America. Flow International Corp. is the world's leading manufacturer of ultrahigh-pressure waterjets for industrial cutting, cleaning and HydroMilling(R).
