FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT ISSUES ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR PUBLIC
 DISSEMINATION
MIAMI, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- As Hurricane Andrews approaches, Florida Power & Light Co. reminds customers that repair crews will halt efforts to restore service when winds exceed 35 mph. This measure is necessary for the safety of employees.
FPL will begin dispatching crews from unaffected areas and seeking help from other utilities as soon as possible after the hurricane strikes and its future direction of travel is ascertained. Until FPL and other utilities are assured that the hurricane will not reverse course and strike the peninsula again, only local crews will be available in the affected areas.
The company will provide additional information about restoration efforts as soon as it is available.
