FLORIDA'S NEW VALUE ACTIVITIES GUIDE

 TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Value Rent-A-Car, the American Express Card and the Florida division of Tourism have jointly created the new Florida Value Activities Guide, a sample of more than 500 free and low-cost activities available throughout the state.
 "Value Rent-A-Car is very excited about the opportunity to work with the American Express Card and the Florida Division of Tourism in providing the traveling public with information which will enhance their Florida vacation experience," said Brad Partridge, vice president of Sales and Marketing for Value Rent-A-Car. "This guide is an example of exactly what Value Rent-A-Car represents...low cost, plus quality, plus service. All of the attractions listed in the guide are a great value for consumers," he added.
 "This is another example of public-private partnerships fulfilling a need and working for a common goal," said Florida Tourism Director Barry Kenney. "This guide provides today's cost-conscious traveler with ways to stretch their vacation budget while enjoying different types of vacation experiences," Farmer added.
 Florida's new advertising campaign, "One Florida, Many Faces," highlights the state's diverse geography, activities, and vacation opportunities. The Florida Value Activities Guide expands on this theme by presenting not only diverse operations, but also low-cost ones.
 "Travelers are seeking value and diversity and both are evident throughout Florida," said Kenney.
 The Guide will be distributed by Value Rent-A-Car, Florida welcome centers and the Florida Division of Tourism. Copies are available by contacting Florida Division of Tourism, 126 West Van Buren Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399-2000, phone 904-487-1462. The information in the guide will be continually updated and revised editions will be printed on a regular schedule.
 In 1992, Florida hosted more than 40.5 million visitors. Tourism is the state's largest industry, employing more than 650,000 residents and creating an economic impact of $30.8 billion in 1992.
