FJWU organizes an interactive session on 'Kate Chopin: Yesterday and Today'.

RAWALPINDI -- The Department of Women Research and Resource Center (WRRC) Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Thursday organized an interactive session on 'Kate Chopin: Yesterday and Today'.

The chief guest of the session was Doctorate of Education and Master of Fine Arts in Drama, Dr. Artemis Presshl who wrote many books.

Her first book was Shakespeare and Commedia dell'arte: play by play about the application of Italian physical comedy and play to Shakespeare's Italian character. She delivered a lecture about her short film stories of 'Kate Chopin' a 19th century Louisiana writer.

She wrote and directed 'Pancha Ratna' based on characters from the Ramayana and Mahabharata which received award in best world cinema at Hollywood's DIY festival. She guided the students about acting, speech dialects, movements and improvisation.

Later, a question answer session was also held.

Welcome address was given by Director (WRRC) Dr. Shaheena Ayub Bhatti who welcomed the honourable guest and gave brief introduction about WRRC department.

At the end, the Director presented souvenir to the Dr. Artemis Presshl.
