FIVE-HOLED TELEVISION STAR MISSING - REWARD OFFERED
 MIDDLETOWN, Ohio, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- There's a low-down cattle

rustler in Middletown, Ohio, and the stolen bovine is no ordinary cow. Folks are asked to be on the lookout for a two-dimensional blue and white cow with five holdes missing since Feb. 23, from White Castle ...and there's a reward.
"We're offering 100 free White Castle hamburgers to the person who provides information that leads us to our cow," said Jim Mundt, White Castle's Cincinnati area manager. "We're very anxious to find her," he explained. "This is a famous cow, and we want our television star back with us."
The five-holed cow, made of 1/2" plywood and sporting blue and white spots, was last seen in front of the White Castle restaurant on Breiel Blvd. This cow starred in a White Castle commercial with Don Adams, of "Get Smart" fame, as part of a year-long advertising campaign introduced in January by White Castle System, Inc. During the television commerical, Adams appears on the White Castle cattle ranch surrounded by a herd of blue and white cows. The missing cow disappeared during a guest appearance at the Middletown White Castle.
"The five holes in each of our White Castle cows represents the company's famous hamburger patty which has five holes and is steam-grilled over a bed of onions," explained Christopher F. Thomas, White Castle's director of marketing. "We developed a series of television and radio commercials that focus on various core hamburger product attributes such as the five holes, onions and buns." Thomas said that White Castle is proud of its herd of cows and is very upset that one of them is missing.
"We're not looking for revenge," Mundt reassured. "We just want our beloved bossy back with us."
Anyone with information leading to the capture of the cattle rustler or rustlers should call the 24-hour beef hot line at the Middletown White Castle, 513-424-8065.
