FIVE TO FOLLOW.
Off the mark with a decisive win in first-time cheekpieces at Wolverhampton in October, GALA SPIRIT has returned to action this year in decent form. She was back at the Midlands venue last weekend but had the misfortune to come up against a rival who had plummeted to a good mark and had to settle for minor honours. She can go one better in the next few weeks.
With cheekpieces reapplied at Wolverhampton, TAMAREEN bounced back from a disappointing effort at Kempton three days earlier. He was unable to reel in Piscean but on this showing he can win something similar despite being high enough in the ratings.
Now that POSH BIRD has found her form she is worth noting for the future. She gained her first success at Catterick last month on only her second start for her new yard and, despite a 9lb hike in the ratings, she improved again to stretch Mister Marker at Ayr. She ought to be winning again soon.
Under a positive ride, winning pointer ANCIENT TIMES did well to recover from a blunder three out at Ayr and just lost out to See The Legend. He was well clear of the remainder and a winning opportunity should come is way.
