A POPULAR motorcyclist had a fitting sendoff with a biker and American car procession.

The funeral of Tony Whitehouse, 51, from Buckley, was held yesterday at Blacon Crematorium.

A huge gathering of bikers and American car drivers met outside his home address on Linthorpe Road forming part of the funeral procession. They set off yesterday morning from Buckley to the Crematorium where family and friends said farewell.

Tributes were read out during the service to Mr Whitehouse, who was riding a blue Suzuki which collided with a Hyundai Getz car last month.

Good friend Russ Campbell said: "We had a fantastic turnout it was a great sendoff for Tony."
