FISHER TO MERGE WITH TRANSACTION TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION
ATLANTA, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Fisher Business Systems, Inc. (OTC), dba Fisher Restaurant Systems, has signed a Letter of Intent to merge operations with Transaction Technology Corporation (TTC), which is presently owned by The Harrison Group.
Both privately held companies, The Harrison Group and TTC are located in Greenville, S.C. TTC is a provider of point-of-sale (POS) hardware maintenance and repair and also designs, develops and maintains POS products for the fast food industry. Fisher designs, develops and maintains software solutions for large restaurant chains.
The two companies anticipate consummation of the merger during the first quarter of next year. The combined company will have approximately 3,000 POS installations in such food service concepts as Denny's, McDonald's, Hardee's, Burger King, Church's, IHOP, Perkins, Po Folks, Ground Round and Applebee's. Hardware support will be provided to more than 2,000 restaurants and convenience stores via TTC's national field service organization.
According to Jerry Harrison, chairman and CEO of The Harrison Group: "This is a great opportunity to make two plus two equal much more than four. Fisher's demonstrated ability to create superior software solutions and provide comprehensive implementation services is a great complement to TTC's understanding of the POS field service maintenance and repair business. Our new company will have innovative new products, a phenomenal customer base and a management team comprised of seasoned veterans of the technology and food service industries."
The CEO of Fisher Restaurant Systems, Larry Fisher, said: "This is a strategic merger for Fisher. We are moving one step closer to our vision of being the premier supplier of dependable solutions and distinctive services for the food service market. We plan to raise new capital to enhance our distribution channel and to continue our investment in the technology required to make our customers more effective at meeting the changing needs of their customers."
