FISHER TO ACQUIRE BLUE MOUNTAIN SOFTWARE

ATLANTA, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Fisher Business Systems, Inc., dba Fisher Restaurant Systems, has signed a Merger Agreement with Blue Mountain Software, Inc., a privately held Atlanta software services firm.
Fisher designs, develops and maintains software solutions for large restaurant chains. Blue Mountain Software is a software development, systems integrator and computer consulting company specializing in point-of-sale (POS) and information systems design and implementation.
The two companies anticipate merging operations on or about Feb. 1, 1993. The combined company will have approximately 1,600 software installations and a customer base that will include Denny's Restaurants, International House of Pancakes, MCI, Lotus Development Corporation, Scientific-Atlanta, Stockholder Systems Inc., and Georgia Power Company.
According to Larry Fisher, chairman of the board at Fisher: "Merging with Blue Mountain Software allows us to aggressively pursue new business opportunities and to accelerate our roll out of the second generation of the Fisher Restaurant Management System. We now have the technical service capabilities to become the premiere POS solution provider for the food service industry."
The president and CEO of Blue Mountain Software, Jim Hamilton, said: "Fisher brings the management talent and infrastructure required for Blue Mountain Software to sustain the rate of growth we have experienced during the past year. Our customers want us to expand our capacity and broaden our service capabilities. Joining forces with Fisher facilitates the continued rapid growth of the Blue Mountain Software business without compromising our resolute commitment to quality and customer satisfaction."
During calendar year 1992, the aggregate revenues of the two companies were in excess of $8 million. The two companies currently employ a total of about 55 people.
In November, Fisher signed a letter of intent to merge with Transaction Technology Corporation (TTC). TTC and Fisher have agreed to suspend merger activities and do not intend to resume discussions until after the Fisher and Blue Mountain merger is consummated.
