FISCHER ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH GE MEDICAL SYSTEMS

 DENVER, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Fischer Imaging Corp. (NASDAQ: FIMG) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with GE Medical Systems for the design and manufacture of X-ray imaging systems.
 Under the agreement, Fischer will supply GE with radiographic X-ray systems, trauma positioning systems, and a specialized tilting C-arm table system for interventional radiology. Initial shipments will begin during 1994.

Nields, chairman and chief executive officer of Fischer Imaging.

 GE Medical Systems is the world's largest manufacturer of diagnostic imaging equipment, including X-ray, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, nuclear medicine, ultrasound and positron emission tomography.
 Fischer Imaging Corp. designs, manufactures and markets specialist and general purpose X-ray imaging systems for the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The company's principal product lines are directed toward medical specialties in which minimally invasive techniques are replacing open surgical procedures.
