FIRST UNION OFFICES IN DADE COUNTY TO REMAIN OPEN THROUGH THE WEEKEND
 MIAMI, Fla., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- First Union National Bank of Florida will keep five offices open in southern Dade County Saturday and Sunday to meet the needs of residents in areas hit by Hurricane Andrew.
 First Union has been operating 40 offices in Dade County in the wake of the storm, and expects to have 43 offices open Monday.
 "We will be staffing the offices over the weekend with First Union employees from other parts of the state who are coming to Dade County to relieve their colleagues and help our customers," said Byron E. Hodnett, chairman and chief executive officer of First Union National Bank of Florida.
 "We need to give our branch employees time to be with their families and to handle problems at home."
 First Union will open drive-through lanes for customers from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the following locations:
 Dadeland, 7100 N. Kendall Drive
 Kendall Lakes, 13700 N. Kendall Drive
 Douglas Road, 2501 SW 37th Avenue
 Westland, 1900 West 49th
 Stadium, 18601 NW 27th Avenue
 Throughout the week, customers of both First Union and Southeast Bank (which became part of First Union last year) have been able to use both First Union and Southeast offices to conduct business.
 First Union's toll-free customer hotline will remain open through the weekend at 1-800-726-6728.
 First Union employees who have not been in contact with their manager since the storm or who need assistance should call 1-800-473-7254.
