 FIRST INTERSTATE BANK OF CALIFORNIA ANNOUNCES EMERGENCY
 HOME REPAIR LOAN PROGRAM FOR SOUTHLAND STORM VICTIMS
 LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- First Interstate Bank of California announced today a special program to provide temporary relief and financial assistance to individuals and families whose homes have been adversely affected by the storms drenching the Southland area.
 The program will provide the following benefits to homeowners and mobile homeowners whose homes have suffered damage from mudslides or storm damage:
 -- Home repair loans will be available with a loan interest rate two points below the current rate, and all bank fees and points will be waived.
 -- Certificate of deposit holders may redeem principal and earned interest on First Interstate Bank certificates of deposit without penalty for early withdrawal.
 -- 90-day payment deferrals will be available on all First Interstate customer loans, auto, credit cards, and lines of credit.
 "We have great sympathy for individuals and families who have been displaced or affected by the torrential rainstorms, and First Interstate wants to do everything we can to help them get through this trying period," said David C. Holman, executive vice president of First Interstate Bank in Southern California.
