FIRST FIDELITY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER TERRACCIANO TO SPEAK AT WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL LUNCHEON

 FIRST FIDELITY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER TERRACCIANO
 TO SPEAK AT WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL LUNCHEON
 Anthony P. Terracciano, chairman, president and chief executive officer of First Fidelity Bancorporation (NYSE: FFB), New Jersey's largest banking company, will be the featured speaker at the World Affairs Council's Southern New Jersey Luncheon Series.
 The luncheon will be held Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield, N.J., with Terracciano's talk beginning at 12:45 p.m.
 Terracciano, known for his original and thought-provoking views of the financial services industry, will speak on "Leadership in a Rapidly Changing World." Prior to joining First Fidelity in February 1990, Terracciano was president and chief operating officer of Mellon Bank Corporation in Pittsburgh. Before joining Mellon in 1987, he had been associated with The Chase Manhattan Bank for 23 years. At Chase, he served in a number of senior management positions, including vice chairman, executive vice president and chief financial officer, and treasurer with responsibility for services and activities in worldwide money markets.
 Terracciano is a native of Bayonne, N.J., where he grew up and still lives. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from St. Peter's College in Jersey City and a master's degree in philosophy from Fordham University.
 He serves on the board of directors of New Jersey Performing Arts Center Corporation; the board of directors of the New York Philharmonic, and is a member of its finance and executive committees; the boards of New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, Pitcairn Company, and Metro Newark Chamber of Commerce; is a member of the executive council of Better Business Bureau, Newark; the board of trustees of Renaissance Newark, Inc.; and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
 For the past 11 years, the Southern New Jersey Luncheon Series has featured as speakers well-known and respected leaders from business, government and the media. The World Affairs Council is a non-profit, non-partisan organization which works to keep the public informed on issues of national and global significance.
